Audio equipment includes input (speaker) and output (microphone) devices
These appliances can be inbuilt or external, in which case can also be combined into a single device (headset).
In any case, the Test Portal checks both audio features separately into "Your audio quality" section, requiring user action for them.
Test flow
- Enter mashme test
- Start the test
- On "Your audio quality" section, follow the instructions and answer the question/s prompted:
- Please speak a few words. Can you hear your echo?
yes → your audio is correct → test jumps automatically to next section ("Your video quality")
no → an issue has been detected → please keep answering:
Please speak a few words. Is the meter moving?
yes → "Your speakers are failing"
Ensure your computer volume is turned up
The tested device can be changed in the drop-down menu; restart the test
If problem persists, it will mean you have Speaker issues
